San Diego, CA, 92108

At The Center for Stress and Anxiety Management, our psychologists have years of experience. Unlike many other providers, our clinicians truly specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety and related problems. Our mission is to apply only the most effective short-term psychological treatments supported by extensive scientific research. We are located in Rancho Bernardo, Carlsbad, and Mission Valley.

Chronic Medical Issues

Food allergies, chronic pain, and other chronic medical conditions (e.g., dysautonomia, diabetes, etc.) often come with significant anxiety, fear, mood issues, and/or interference with optimal daily functioning.  We assess the psychological influences (i.e., potential triggers and consequences) involved in living with a chronic medical condition and help you live your best life in the face of medical challenges.

WHAT CSAM DOES NOT TREAT: Please note that while anxiety disorders can co-occur with other concerns, at CSAM we specifically focus on treatment of anxiety disorders. We do not treat clients with suicidal ideation, self-harm (e.g. cutting, burning, scratching, or similar), substance abuse disorders, or bipolar disorder. For symptoms and conditions such as these, involving significant emotion dysregulation, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a superior treatment option. For recommendations for providers in the area who specialize in these issues and in DBT, please see our referrals page (Resources): https://www.csamsandiego.com/usefulresources *
